Insulating a roof is an effective way to minimise heat loss and reduce heating bills. BROWNIE Blanket is an effective fire  safety, thermal and acoustic insulation solution for both new and retrofit roofs.

The insulation blanket specifically designed for temperature & noise control in homes and buildings with metal roof or tile roof . Once installed, the high performance insulation blanket will not emit formaldehyde in the indoor environment and acts as a highly effective barrier to heat flow, keeping your building cool during hot weather and conserving the cool air indoors.

Application focused, it combines cost efficiency with the highest standard of insulation performance when installed under metal roof or clay tiles roof. BROWNIE Blanket insulation can be used in timber and metal frame applications in residential and commercial buildings. It is available in a wide range of sizes and R-values. They are highly resilient, recovering quickly to full thickness.
    • Optimal fibre diameter
    • Better fibre network
    • Less dusty and less itchy
    • Low ‘K’ Factor
    • Does not encourage mould growth
    • Excellent acoustical properties
    • Non-corrosive
BROWNIE Blanket allows to optimise energy efficiency, prevent heat loss and provide effective thermal insulation. Properly insulated roof structure will be able to limit the heat loss and maintain the desired operating temperature. The glass mineral wool insulation complies with ASTM C518 at 15°C mean temperature. Thermal resistance value as high as R1.60 m2K/W
Roof structure should be well insulated to minimise air borne noise transmission and rain impact noise. Not only an effective thermal insulation, BROWNIE blanket acts as a natural and effective sound barrier. It is amongst the most effective acoustic insulation solutions when sound proofing is required. Please contact PGF Insulation representative for further information
Condensation control can be achieved when the product is faced with a foil. BROWNIE Blanket faced product range is prelaminated with a a with a multi-purpose Foil-Scrim-Kraft (FSK) facing that serves as vapour retarder for buildings. The facing resists diffusion of moisture through roof assemblies of buildings to prevent interstitial condensation.
While a vapor barrier may not necessarily be able to stop the flow of water vapor, it does an excellent job of minimizing the rate and volume of the flow. This prevents moisture from accumulating within the insulation blanket and the structure, which translates into consistent thermal values and lower heating and cooling costs.
Timber frame structure can be destroyed during fire whilst metal structure can act as heat conductors during a fire. BROWNIE blanket prevents stops fire from spreading to other compartments within a building. Tested in accordance and comply with (plain/unfaced):
    • B.S. 476: Part 4 Non-combustibility test for materials
    • B.S. 476: Part 6 Fire propagation
    • B.S. 476: Part 7 Surface spread of flame
    • ASTM E84
